Braun – Introduction

Braun was created in 1921, when Max Braun started up a small engineering shop in Frankfurt and began to create components for radio sets and the radio industry. Braun quickly progressed and became one of the first companies to develop complete radio sets. The company came to be regarded as one of the most innovative manufacturers firstly in Germany and then Europe.

In the 1950s, Braun became the first manufacturer to design and produce electrical shavers, whilst its range of record players and radios gained worldwide renown. Such was the growth of Braun that in the late 1960s the company was brought by the Gillette Company, giving Braun a footing in the American market.

In 2005, Gillette was acquired by P&G, a company that aims to ensure that the Braun brand continues to succeed around the world and to excel within the online market.

Braun’s electrical goods include an extensive range of kitchen appliances, which are both highly functional and cheap.
