5 a day keeps the doctor away..

It used to be an 'apple a day' but now we are advised to eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg per day.

I know from experience that it is difficult to get into the habit of eating five portions of fruit and veg a day but smoothies are an easy way of keeping healthy. The NHS has a great pineapple smoothie recipe which I'm going to try out.

One of my smoothie breakfast favourites is to blend some bananas, milk, honey and oats. Maybe you would class that as more of a milkshake but it's still good! I make my smoothies with the Kenwood SB256 Smoothie Concert 1.5l which is great. I always make a mess of the kitchen in the process but I'm working on that!
